Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with kosher salt and cracked black pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and onion powder until smooth.
  3. Heat the neutral oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the chicken thighs in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 5–7 minutes per side until a deep golden-brown crust forms.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Pour the honey garlic mixture directly over the chicken.
  5. Baste the chicken by spooning the bubbling sauce over the thighs repeatedly for 3–5 minutes until the sauce reduces to a thick, sticky glaze that clings to the meat.
