Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 inch piece fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp fresh black pepper
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 (6 oz) swordfish steaks, 1 inch thick
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a small bowl or Ziploc bag, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, black pepper, and honey.
- Place the swordfish steaks into the bag, seal tightly while removing excess air, and refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (approximately 400°F / 200°C).
- Using tongs and a folded paper towel dipped in vegetable oil, lubricate the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Remove swordfish from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and place steaks on the grill.
- Grill for 4 to 6 minutes per side until a deep mahogany-colored crust forms.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds.
